STOP THE CRUELTY AGAINST THE
PALESTINIAN PEOPLE!

The world shuttered at visions of professional soldiers using automatic weapons against pedestrians stuck in the crossfire, as Palestinians defended their right to sovereignty. Throughout the world the struggle for liberation and self-determination bring us together, whether in Palestine, Northern Ireland or Vieques, Puerto Rico.

In solidarity, we support our Palestinian sisters and brothers who face brutal repression by the number one recipient of U.S. military aid, the Israeli Army. For decades the Palestinians like many of the world’s colonized people have struggled to prevent the extermination of their people. As in Vieques, Puerto Rico, they face constant military occupation.

The latest insult occurred when right wing leader, Ariel Sharon entered the sacred Harim al Sharif during prayers, accompanied by dozens of riot police and hovering helicopters, a show to exert Israeli dominance. How well we the Puerto Rican people know of the arrogance of our mutual imperialist oppressor, who disrespect the traditions and existence of our people daily in Puerto Rico or wherever we are forced to migrate to.

We in the Puerto Rican community are familiar with the tactics of intimidation and state violence as what the Palestinian masses are experiencing. Colonialism has brought into our reality the random beating and murder of our youth by the racist police, as the outcry for justice goes unheard in a court system arranged just to add to our oppression.

We further recognize that the weapons and military hardware used against the Palestinian people are supplied by the U.S. and tested in Vieques. At the root of our reality is U.S. imperialism. For this reason our obligation as people committed to liberation is to stand firmly with our Palestinian sisters and brothers.

END THE ISRAELI OCCUPATION OF PALESTINE!

U.S. NAVY OUT OF VIEQUES AND ALL OF PUERTO RICO!
